My Tender Tyler

I know that I always brag about my son BUT I have never known such a tender child. He is son in tune to emotions, feelings and compassion. I wanted to write down a few examples so I wouldn't forget. Tyler came home from preschool on Monday. He said, "Mom, can I please have some water?" I immediately ran to go get him some water (whenever my children are polite, which they usually are, I try to respond immediately to reinforce the good behavior). After he drank his water, he wrapped around my leg in a tight grasp. I told him and Mikayla it was nap time. Mikayla went to bed. He came out of his room with his blanket and asked if he could lay with me. I told him sure. He went over to the love sac and patiently waited for me to curl up and get comfortable. Then he crawled up and molded his little body to mine and went to sleep.
Antoher instance was just a few minutes ago. He came out of the bathroom and said his bottom hurt. I told him I would put some diaper cream on it (I can't figure out why every once in a while he gets really red like a burn in between his cheeks). I sat down in the floor. I put diaper cream on him. He stood up, pulled up his pants and wrapped around my neck, then kissed me and said, "You are the best mommy." I melted. I know they say there is a daddy-daughter bond and a mommy-son bond and I would say, "Most definitely!!!!"
